Why Benzai-Ten?
My goal is to channel the spirit of Benzai-Ten in my design work. With “Burgos Benzai-Ten Designed - BBdesigned,” I strive to turn challenges into opportunities, inspire cooperation, and promote harmony. The name “Benzai-Ten” is more than just a label; it embodies the principles that guide my work. Like the adaptable and resilient goddess Benzai-Ten, my designs reflect my ability to gracefully handle change and overcome obstacles, demonstrating my strong dedication to doing really great and creative work. I am dedicated to create innovative solutions that not only meet today’s needs but also anticipate tomorrow’s demands.
Who am I?
I am an industrial design student in my 10th semester at Pontifical Javeriana University in Bogota-Colombia. I am known for being a committed, responsible, creative, organized, resourceful, kind, and adaptable person. I can work well both in group settings and independently, and I analyze any task to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.

We used an eye tracker to validate user liking of the graphics, such as the girl character. The girl was animated in 3D MAX, and the animals and other characters were created and dragged in Procreate. This process ensured that our designs were engaging and appealing to our young users.

ALADDIN THEATER
The theater is a toy in which a child between the ages of 2-6 can engage in role-playing. It is set in the castle of Jasmine, the princess from Aladdin. It also includes shadow puppets for creating their own stories and walking with the castle to give it movement during playtime. Playing with a theater encourages children to use their creativity and imagination. They can create stories, characters, and scenes, allowing them to explore their creative side and also helps children improve their communication skills. They often need to express themselves clearly and act out different roles, which can enhance their verbal and non-verbal communication.

Design proposition to Tramontina's pet product lineup, designed to redefine cat care while prioritizing environmental sustainability. Our intelligent litter box not only provides a convenient solution for pet waste management but also incorporates a unique fertilizer generation system. Committed to eco-conscious practices, BIOCAT operates on a cyclic system: as your cat deposits waste, it undergoes processing within the box, producing compost that nourishes plants housed in the integrated planter atop the unit. With an internal irrigation system, the planter ensures consistent watering, eliminating the need for frequent manual intervention, and fostering healthy plant growth.

This project focuses on innovative design and functionality to ensure a seamless travel experience. liquid waste sliding system efficiently manages pet waste. and Solid waste can be easily cleaned from the container
Using SolidWorks, we conducted a thorough structural analysis to ensure the carrier can support the necessary weight, providing durability and reliability.
We created detailed technical drawings of the product to guide the production process, taking into account ergonomic factors tailored to our target users.
These plans ensure that the pet carrier not only meets structural and functional requirements but also provides maximum comfort and ease of use for both pets and their owners.

Como Amigos
Making Pet Care Easier for Everyone
Is designed as a tool to assist elderly individuals in picking up their pets' waste, eliminating the need for bending down. While it primarily aims to help seniors, it is versatile enough for anyone to use. In collaboration with engineers, we developed a practical system utilizing servos for movement, controlled by an Arduino with batteries and jumper cables. The prototype was modeled using cardboard, cardstock, styrofoam, and wooden sticks, and the final design was created in Fusion360.

Design Characteristics
Using Fusion360, we created detailed renders of the "Como Amigos" tool, which played a crucial role in bringing the concept to life.
Arduino, Servos, Batteries and Cables
These renders provided precise measurements and a clear visualization of the components, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the construction of the real model.
We conducted usability tests with the "Como Amigos" prototype, where we collected pet waste and used it as fertilizer for plants.
These tests were invaluable in assessing the tool's practicality and effectiveness.

Inspired by the Colombian Blue Macaw
In this design created for the Namay brand designed by me, natural and biodegradable materials were incorporated to demonstrate a commitment to preserving the Earth. Harmful materials for the environment were avoided. The design focused on using the macramé knotting technique to give the bag a 100% handmade look. The bag frame is made of wood, and various colors are used to resemble the blue macaw. The specific macramé knot used is the 4-knot, which not only adds strength to the weave but also creates an aesthetically pleasing design.

PLANTS AND GERMINATION AT HOME
This project was carried out at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic with the intention of creating a natural environment at home during lockdown. A balcony garden was designed in an apartment, and this design was crafted using recycled materials, specifically milk cartons. These cartons are made of cardboard on the outer side and have an inner layer of aluminum, which makes them difficult to recycle. However, in the garden, they serve as a waterproof barrier for the planters’ irrigation system, as the material won’t deteriorate quickly due to water exposure.

DESIGN PROCESS - USING RECYCLED MATERIAL
First, the milk box cartons were collected to develop the project, we have to notice that the cartons must not be in poor conditions.
After the selection of Material, they were cleaned and cut. Leaving the material ready to work, a total of 42 boxes of TETRAPACK milk were used.
Then in each of the sheets a triangle was organized, leaving tabs to form the structure, each pod has 7 triangles, forming the union of two tetrahedrons.

Inspired by the Colombian Blue Macaw
The project, named "The Feed," was developed using Visual Studio and subsequently uploaded to GitHub, making it accessible to all. Created during a course on "Visual Communication II" at the University of San Francisco, I meticulously coded the project from inception to completion.
